Dr. Mendonca´s research is aimed at the study of linear and nonlinear optical properties of organic materials. Ultrafast pulses are employed to investigate the nonlinear refraction and absorption spectrum and dynamics. Coherent control metods are also used to enhance optical nonlinearities and optmize laser pulses.
